Ground Conditions

This body of work explores Passive House Plus concepts designed for difficult and exposed terrain. Dual-envelope systems, solar infrastructure, and controlled transitions between interior and exterior space respond to conditions of heat, elevation, wind, and isolation. The designs treat climate and terrain as active forces within the architecture rather than obstacles to it. Together, the studies consider how resilient housing can remain efficient, adaptable, and closely connected to place.
